New York City Free Spirit

I've always been enamored by weddings. Getting to marry your soul mate in your perfect venue, a beautiful bouquet (naturally), friends and family as witness to your love and new life together, in your most perfect wedding dress. Isn't the dress everything? I think It's the most outwardly expression of who you are on your wedding day.

I was asked to collaborate on a styled shoot taking place in New York City for the launch of Cristalle, a bridal collection created by Alejandro Trucco & Cristina Marulanda , to showcase their Romance SS17 capsule collection.  I was told to design for dresses that were "for the free-spirited, yet modern bride" and boy, are they ever.  A prior commitment prevented me from going to the shoot, but no matter. These images below, taken by the very talented Monika de Myer Photography, tell the story behind the dresses embellished with details like lace, tulle, and hand-beading: Bohemian Chic, Modern and Glamorous, and oh, so so so Romantic! NYC Skyline View

Wow. Like, really wow. All I know is that I want to get married AGAIN (to the same guy, of course!) after you see these inspiring photos! Stunning handmade bridal hair accessories, gorgeous dresses, a fluid melding of softness and edginess, and the New York City skyline. The idea for this styled shoot came alive with the skills of Stephanie Williamson, the stylist/event designer and Jennifer Larsen Photography  to show off the one-of-a-kind bridal headpieces by The House of Mac and Zoe, which, as you know being a soon-to-be-bride yourself, are a must to complete your bridal look. And these dresses? Gorgeous unique, mix-and-match bridal separates by Cosentino Designs. To round out the talent, the beautiful models were made even more beautiful by HMUA Michelle Elise Artistry. Kerry Patel Designs was honored to provide the florals for this shoot.

I'm off to go plan my second wedding. Don't tell my husband.
